Vacation or even a small family reunion.
The property is just 6 Miles
South of the Cumberland Parkway and only a short scenic
drive from either Russell Springs, Jamestown or
Somerset.
Complete with four commercial
marinas; boat rentals ranging in size from fishing boats
to state of the art houseboats; lakeside restaurants; a
theatre; Lake Cumberland State Resort Park; and much,
much more - this beautiful mountain resort community has
something for everyone to do and enjoy.
Guests to the Lake Cumberland area can take a scenic
horseback ride, feed the trout at the Wolf Creek
National Fish Hatchery or catch a show at the historic
Star Theater, a 1950's vintage movie theater with
seasonal plays, musical productions, and the annual
performance of "The Nutcracker."
Russell County is also home to two 18 hole golf courses:
The Links Public Golf Course and Lakewood Country Club.
For the fishing enthusiast we offer trophy size stripers
and hold state records for brown and rainbow trout as
well as walleye.
Lake Cumberland hosted the 1995
and 1996 Walleye "Quest" Championship and each year
walleye fishermen from all over the country can be found
at Lake Cumberland in search of the fabled $50,000
walleye.
For the antique and craft lover, there are several shops
to fascinate you in nearby Russell Springs and
Jamestown.
Visit an old fashioned soda shop
in either Russell Springs or Jamestown to refresh while
shopping and visit
The Russell County Tourist
Commission's website and check their calendar
of events to see what's going on in the area or to help
plan your visit to Lake Cumberland.
